LARCOMAR Restaurant is more than just another place to dine.  We bring awareness to Peruvian Cuisine, as the lack of proper marketing campaigns with other restaurants, Peruvian cuisine has not had its chance to shine like the Italian and French but none the less it is rank as one of the top cuisines worldwide.  We bring the best out of the diverse Peruvian Cuisine in the United States meanwhile retaining our roots.  We emphasize on promoting PERU and growth in the country.  Our goal is to introduce quality Peruvian cuisine to those who never tried it and if you have then we want to bring a tranquil place where you can dine, meet friends, celebrate special occasions, etc... All while enjoying our delicious dishes.

LARCOMAR Restaurant was founded in October 2010 in Elizabeth, NJ.  The idea arose from 2 individuals who had similar goals:
1. Bring Peruvian Cuisine awareness to the United States
2. Provide quality Peruvian dishes
3. Provide an environment that brings customers the real Peruvian experience

Why the name “LARCOMAR”?  As most Peruvian-Americans tend to cope to the American way of living, many lose sight of their roots, many don’t even visit Peru but if they do, a norm tourist place is LARCOMAR mall, which is an outdoor mall hanging on a side of a cliff facing the Pacific Ocean.  At Larcomar mall you will find Peruvian and International Restaurants, lounges, clubs, movie theaters, bowling alley, boutiques and many more attractions.  Larcomar mall is located in Miraflores-Peru and is frequented by tourists and local yuppies.  Peruvian-Americans can easily identify themselves with this modern location, hence the name “LARCOMAR Restaurant”.

There are pre-Inca ruins right in Miraflores. Huaca Pucllana is about 1500 years old, and it was a cultural and religious site for the Lima culture. In the Quechua language it means “Place of entertainment.” This is where our name comes from. Larcomar is located int the Miraflores district and much as its past we too are a source of entertainment and an enjoyable atmosphere.
